blog about me
Hello and thanks for stopping by!

My name is Leilani Orr, and it’s great to have you here.

What I’m up to these days:

I’ve been finding myself pretty crazy busy lately. I have 8 children, and since the beginning of parenting, my husband and I have been passionate about homeschooling.  I’ve delved into that and LOVE it. Don’t get me wrong, there are some days I feel like pulling my hair out and becoming a hermit. But seriously, motherhood AND homeschooling have genuinely enriched my life.

Throughout the journey of my adult life as a “stay-at-home mom/wife” I’ve taken seriously this path I’ve chosen.  I will never be at the point of knowing it all, but there are definite ways of thinking and being that have brought about good fruit and a great measure of joy into our not so quiet home.

A few things I like to hone in on around the home:

1. Diligence
2. Joy
3. Efficiency
4. Productivity
5. Gratitude

All of us who value these things know how difficult it can sometimes be to stay focused and to prioritize properly in our lives.

Through my life’s experience and yours, I hope we can build a tribe to encourage one another.

A common question that people will ask me  when having 8 kids in tow: “How do you do it all?” Well, there’s not a perfect one liner answer to that question, where do I start? I generally smile and respond that it’s a beautiful adventure.
Life isn’t a picture of perfection and getting what we want at every moment, but embracing what we have and finding applicable and practical ways to walk out what we truly value.
